Inside anthropics KI ambitions with Jared Kaplan

If you have followed Anthropic, you will know that it was a busy year for the KI startup. In March, the company already agreed that it collected 3.5 billion US dollars with a rating of 61.5 billion US dollars in a round of Lightspeed Venture Partners. Since then it has started a blog for its Claude models and, according to Bloomberg reporting with Apple, a new software platform with “Vibe coding”.

Instead of our usual Friday news -Rundowns, the current episode of Equity will bring you a conversation about the Techcrunch sessions: AI event this week in Berkeley. Our friend and co-moderator Max Zeff sat down with Jared Kaplan, co-founder and Chief Science Officer at Anthropic.

Listen to the full conversation to more about:

    • Who has direct access to Claude’s Ai models, Windsurf’s reaction and how it combines everything with anthropics wider goals in terms of openness, security and sustainability.
    • The company that stays away from chatbots and agents -KI systems that can carry out real tasks.
    • How internal tools like Claude Code shape the future of AI-powered development.
    • What it means to create AI, actually be able to trust the company and how this affects how people interact with software, work and other people.
