One of the largest basketball players in the history of the game will now take on a new role. diversity reports that Michael Jordan will return to the NBA as a special contribution to NBC if the network reporting on the league will be resumed next year. Although we don’t know what the exact nature of its role will be, it doesn’t sound as if it were playing games.
“I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC,” said Jordan in a video in which the news was announced. “The NBA on NBC was a sensible part of my career, and I look forward to being a special contribution to the project. I look forward to seeing them all when the NBA starts on NBC this October.”
“Michael’s legacy both on and outside the square speaks for himself,” added Rick Cordella, President of the NBC sport in a statement. “We are incredibly proud that he joins our reporting.”
Jordan is one of the greats of the game after winning six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls in the nineties and brought the league to new values. He was also two Olympic gold medalists and 14-time all-star.
Jordan’s return to the league comes after more than 20 years, where he either operated behind the scenes of the NBA or was in total in the league. Every time great players are not always for a great comment ever. So we see how far Jordan’s championship extends and how interesting his analysis could be.
